Dr. Karin Pries

Management

We combine scientific and specialised expertise with a pragmatic and goal-oriented practice. We know the significance of direct personal contact and combine it with internet-based cooperation.

When we founded our organisation in Bergisch Gladbach in 2000, we already had 10 years of experience in the field of development assistance and international university cooperation, above all in Mexico and other Latin American countries. We developed our aims and principles against this background.

Our Objectives

Our activities aim to

  • Qualify, motivate and engage employees,
  • Support organisations in their self-control and in their own reflexions,
  • Promote sustainable development of organisations through border-crossing rules and routines,
  • Stimulate intercultural communication, competence and programmes.

Our Principles

In a complex and global world, the development of potential means to expand and to overcome borders:

  • he borders of narrow occupational, departmental and functional group thinking in order to strengthen cooperation within organisations,
  • the borders of insular thinking in one’s own organisation in order to strengthen cooperation between organisations and in networks,
  • the borders of one’s own socio-cultural day-to-day business in order to strengthen cooperation across national and cultural borders.

We support you in checking, expanding and successfully overcoming borders, and our objective is to support the sustainable welfare of organisations and their employees.

Our quality features

Up-to-date contents Inter-cultural dialogue Use of a variety of media

Our training measures, studies and surveys stick to the following quality features:

  • Up-to-date contents and academically proofed methods, created in cooperation with renowned experts, often from universities and universities of applied sciences; combined with our own didactical expertise the learning and teaching with digital media becomes successful. Also our studies and surveys are based on the current status of academic research.
  • Orientation towards practice and experience: the acquisition of knowledge and competence, as well as the analysis of problems, is geared towards the particular practice of the individual. In doing so, we take the experiences and interests of learners, customers and employees seriously.
  • Use of a variety of media: Interactive and animated illustrations, audio and video units in the courses of further education guarantee that the courses meet the needs of different learner types. Also our surveys are conducted with either more traditional or digital media as needed.
  • Inter-cultural dialogue: to find one’s way with other cultures‘ customs, behavioural patterns, and communication styles and to respect and involve oneself with these
  • Process-accompanying competence development: Not only do we develop courses, but we also train our partners in developing their own e-learning competences. Further, we also support institutions in in building up their own e-capacities.
